Character Name: Papyrus!
Series: Undertale
Canon Point: Pacifist Route.
Summary/History:
The Underground. A land of poor fortune, and at the same time, incredible wealth. It is here that Monsters thrive, beings different from humans by ways of magical proportions. A war centuries past cast the proud Monster race into the ground--where a barrier blocked their only means of escape. Only humans, like the ones who created the barrier, could enter and exit the barrier. The monsters were left alone, buried in the ground, with the hope of laying their eyes on the skies and feeling the warmth of the sun a far and distant memory.

Monsters live underground, and they do as such for centuries; with no way out, the only option left is to live. And so, that is exactly what they do. Expansions are made throughout the underground. Monsters acclamate to the underground the best they can. The King, King Asgore, promises to grant the escape that his people crave-- by using the souls of seven humans to unlock the barrier, and thereby freeing the entire underground of it's seemingly unending prison.

Six humans later, two skeletons move into a town. The punchline? There is none. Not much is given about Papyrus' past other than the rather unexplanitory fact that he and Sans both showed up together in Snowdin one day, and just...began existing. It is suspected that he and his (older) brother, Sans, have lived in Snowdin for a few years before the final human arrived.

When Frisk appeared in Snowdin, the seventh human, Papyrus was wound up and eager to complete a mission passed to him from Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard, and the King above her-- "Capture the Human and bring them to Asgore." Doing so would surely place the tall skeleton in the Royal Guard!

Which is exactly what he wants. And it's what he's wanted since he and Sans moved into Snowdin. Papyrus greets the little human, his very first human that he'd ever seen in person, and subjects them to puzzles! Puzzles beyond their wildest dreams! Frisk completes them all, to Papyrus' delight.

It's here that our tall skeleton secretly and unknowingly decides that he really quite cares for the little puzzle loving human. He bests the human in battle three times before they win him over by genuinely complimenting him and convincing him that they would like to be friends. Frisk also takes a moment to flirt with the tall skeleton.

Papyrus eventually decides that he doesn't want to hurt Frisk, and shows them mercy. They go on a date, where Papyrus completely has misunderstood Frisk's flirt as a confession of their undying love, and Papyrus decides that Frisk cares too deeply for Papyrus. Their own outstanding love for the noble skeleton could very well be their downfall! Papyrus lets them down easily, calling their relationship simply 'platonic', but promising his friendship to Frisk.

He was even caught trying to convince Undyne that Frisk isn't a bad human. Undyne, of course, doesn't believe him-- but Papyrus continues to try and create a friendship between Undyne and Frisk.

At some point after Frisk and Papyrus become friends, Papyrus invites Frisk to his cooking lessons that Undyne gives-- yes, Undyne taught Papyrus the wonders of making, uh, 'spaghetti'. She realizes that Papyrus' dream is almost unreachable-- the tall skeleton is simply too nice, so she gives him a different kind of training. Despite her best intentions, however, Undyne makes a very...pulverized plate of spaghetti.

Papyrus demonstrates some of his charisma here. He tricked Undyne into spending time with Frisk because he challenged her ability to be friends with the small human. Reverse psychology.

In the end? Undyne and Frisk wind up burning her home down in waterfall, and Undyne goes to stay with Papyrus and Sans.

Soon, Papyrus runs into Flowey- a friend who offered Papyrus encouragement and advice through barred teeth. The small flower tells Papyrus that he should gather all his friends to stop Asgore from fighting Frisk, oh no!

Thorned vines line the ground and grasp all of the gathered monsters up off the floor and into the air. Frisk demands that they be let go. The world turns white and everything goes numb, and Papyrus is alone.

He reaches for Sans. He misses.

"Welcome...to the Castle in the Mist..."

Personality:
Papyrus is one cool dude. Really!

The most remarkable trait of Papyrus is in his absolute faith in others. Papyrus would sooner die than believe that his newfound human 'friend', Frisk, would cut him down; he has such unbelievable faith in others that he'd risk his own life for a friend, regardless of how long he'd known them. This, being his own, personal strength, guides him through his actions and choices. Though sometimes brash and reckless, at his very core, Papyrus is immensely kind.

He's absolutely a lover. While Papyrus appreciates dueling on equal grounds, he'd never fight just for the fun of it. Demonstrated in game by his fight with Frisk-- one that he would have avoided if it could have been helped, but the fight wasn't to injure and hurt the human. Only to weaken the human enough to be taken to Asgore for the purpose of opening the barrier that kept Monsterkind underground. Papyrus would never have agreed to take the human there if he'd known what would become of them.

His confidence is amazing. Outstanding. He has the ability to turn negativity around, and it's the constant belief in others that he possesses that grants him the quirk of seeing past bad energy, and into the goodness of people's hearts. While his friends anchor him, (he would probably not approach someone with vicious intent toward his friends and try to befriend them) he can often find himself in some form of trouble by simply being overtrusting. In instances where his friends are brought into harm's way, Papyrus can become a force to deal with.

Papyrus tends to stand away from fighting when it comes right down to it, though. Fighting of any kind-- emotional (verbal) fighting, and physical. A monster of peace, Papyrus aims to intercept problems and run them into the ground by sheer force of will alone. This makes him a bit headstrong in his perception of others (such as: even though Toriel introduced herself as Toriel, Papyrus thought she looked very much like Asgore and as such, calls her 'Asgore's Clone', or 'Lady Asgore', or something to that likeness.)

Papyrus being dissapointed in you is truly something that should be avoided at all costs-- and it is high on the scale of impossibility, certainly. Incapable of hatred, he tends to quiet himself around those who make him uncomfortable. Somewhat motherly in his doting of his friends, Papyrus can close himself off when it comes to his own thoughts and feelings to focus on more pressing matters.

His relationship with Sans is worth noting, as well. Though openly harsh on his brother for being lazy, Papyrus worries about him in secret-- especially his low HP (Sans has only 1HP, making him the 'weakest' monster in the game.). This leads to Papyrus often scolding Sans on how he should be training, or he should be more active. Perhaps in an attempt to help raise Sans' HP. Part of Papyrus' charm is that he believes that someday, Sans will simply pick himself up and stop being lazy-- though it is incredibly, incredibly unlikely. Still, Papyrus has faith in his brother-- perhaps more faith in Sans than in anyone. Their bond is special, unbreakable, and yet so fragile.

Other things? Well, outside of his faith in others and his outstanding confidence, Papyrus is a noted, er, "chef". A Spaghettore. He loves spaghetti-- he loves spaghetti. That being said, he is not good at making it. Words used to describe his spaghetti: indescribable. Yep.

Powers/Abilities:
Papyrus' true skill is undefined in the game. His soft heart keeps him from unleashing any full potential that he may have, but it has been stated by Undyne later on in the game that Papyrus is actually quite powerful. Because his heart is so soft, however, it would be cruel to add him to the Royal Guard due to the fact that when a human's soul is harvested, the human dies, and Undyne knows that poor Paps could never do such a thing, even if it meant not being on the Royal Guard.

With evidence in game suggesting that Papyrus controls a set of Gaster Blasters, himself, I would like to give him knowledge of this attack. Being who he is, it'd take a great deal to actually use this attack on anyone, and even in dire straits he'd still stick with his famous blue attack and his assault of bones.

With that being said, Papyrus can control the gravity of one person at a time, and summon bones to attack with from the sky, from the ground, and even into his hands to hit others with. In game, he focuses mostly on ground attacks, causing bones to rush from the earth and pierce multiple targets quickly and painfully. He wears a costume (supposedly made a few weeks before the timeline began), and has refused to take it off, calling it his 'Battle-Body'. It offers minimal protection to his upper torso and his pelvic region.

In contrast to Sans' attack force, Papyrus is more thorough and concise on his defense. His magic, though easily a devestating offensive force, is spent more in defense when it comes to actual fighting, especially when it comes to fighting alongside his brother. The way their energy feeds off of eachother gives Papyrus ample opportunity and reason to be defensive.

Papyrus also has an immeasurable amount of energy. He requires a bedtime story before he can sleep peacefully, and can become passionate about basically anything, as long as it is good in nature. He is also easily distracted...and often times the butt of a joke. He also hates puns. ♥

Items on your character:
Items? Well, definitely his red scarf. Can't be seen without it. For personal reasons. For personal cool reasons! He also keeps on his person at least one plate of his horrible indescribable pasta. Spaghetti, for those who wish to be specific. He'll give it away and then find a chance to make more, and carry that on his person. A perfectly proportioned plate of pasta, every time.

Other things he carries on his person? Typically a cellphone would be carried around, but for the purpose of introductions, it's been removed, to be found later.
